New design of our bags

New design of our bags

Since a few day, PELLICULA NV has got a new design for his known white bags. The new bag is specially created to avoid dust and lost of aroma. The quality of our ingredients hasn't change off course!
With this design we like do upgrade our bags and be more visible in the market place.

AXA Private Equity acquires a majority stake from Gimv in food ingredients company Sfinc


Location: Izegem

AXA Private Equity has announced today that it has acquired a majority stake from Gimv in the Benelux food ingredients group Sfinc.

Sfinc is the result of a merger in 2004 between two Belgian companies, Rejo and Pellicula. Rejo historically targets retail/distribution channels while Pellicula’s primary client segment is the food processing industry. In 2007, Sfinc completed the acquisition of three complementary businesses, being Maes Specerijen, Surplus and the FFI in the Netherlands.

Pellicula obtains BRC quality certificate !

Pellicula obtains BRC quality certificate !

After hard working and a lot of dedication, PELLICULA NV obtained the "BRC-global food standard, version 4".

The audit was performed by ISA Belgium c/o ABI-Vinçotte International NV on 21 November 2007.

We obtianed the certificate for "Blending of functional powders and marinades, and the production of gelatins and other coating"

Congratulations to the whole staff !

Maes Spices joins SFINC -Group

Maes Spices joins SFINC -Group

Since the 1st of july 2007, Maes Spices, a Belgian distributor of spices, herbs and sauces, joined the SFINC-Group (Spices, Functional Ingredients, Nutraceuticals and Coatings).
 
The SFINC-group strengthens its position is the sector of the butchery, catering and culinary shops supplies, it is a perfect fit in the active growth strategy of the group.
 
Maes Spices has a thoroughly build up customer base in the sector, and it is expected that synergetic advantage can be made because of this.

SFINC NV takes over FFI BV

The SFINC-group,  with its main activity in "Spices, Functional Ingredients, Nutraceuticals and Coatings" has taken over FFI BV, Functional Food Ingredients in Helmond.

FFI's specialties are stabilizers, emulsifiers, preservatives and flavour enhancers for savoury products – areas. It has more than 45 years of experience and operates on a global scale, from its base in Helmond, the Netherlands. Delivering added value to customers  in Europe, Asia and South America, FFI is a perfect fit for the strategy that SFINC is following.

LISTEX™ P100 phages for control of Listeria approved by US FDA as GRAS

EBI Food Safety of the Netherlands announced today that its bacteriophage P100
preparation, marketed as LISTEX™, has been approved as GRAS (Generally
Recognized As Safe) by the US FDA, to control Listeria monocytogenes (LM) in
cheese. This acknowledgement by the FDA is based on a thorough safety review,
and is recognized by food companies and national governments worldwide. GRAS
affirmation is an essential step in the commercialization of LISTEX™. LISTEX™ is the
first bacteriophage product to receive GRAS recognition by the FDA.
